Warwick and The London Eye on July 5

We headed back to Warwick this morning...an absolute gorgeous day, which we completely appreciated.  I think it was the first time I haven't had my 'jumper' (translation:  sweatshirt) on for this journey.  The delegates divided themselves into groups and they had the entire morning to do whatever they wanted at the castle.  Many of us walked the perimeter of the top of the castle - which consisted of 530 steps, with almost all being circular.  The views from the top were amazing...so 530 steps was well worth it.

A true W.C..... (translation:  Water closet)

These are taken inside the castle...

I'm not usually in pictures..obviously since I usually am the one taking them...plus, I just prefer not to be in them...however, Kim showed me her trick of turning the flash off, getting the camera focused, and putting it down low and snapping into a mirror...that's what all 3 of us are doing here!

There were arrow demonstrations, some things about Merlin, walks through the rooms of the castle which were furnished with some of the original furnishings...and many wax figures of people.

At noon, we met for lunch...and then took off for London!

First stop in London,  the London Eye.  We were early, so there was about an hour and a half of free time before we boarded the Eye.  The London Eye is 440' high, and takes about 30 minutes for one revolution.  There are 32 pods...because there are 32 borroughs in London.  Each pod will hold 25 people...and oh my gosh, the views of London are breathtaking.

From the Eye, we walked to dinner, walking through Trafalgar Square...

Our coach driver picked us up after dinner... and we headed to the Crown Plaza by Gatwick airport...

It was the end of Day 7!
