On to Dublin

After our driver picked us up f rom our  home stay family, we headed out to the Gap of Dunloe.  Our first activity was riding the horse drawn jaunty 7 miles through the countryside.  We had 3-4 students per wagon with an adult.  It did rain today quite a bit, but we perservered! The scenery, riding in the cart pulled by the wagon, and even the rain, made it that much more special!  Granted, I would have taken a lot more pictures if the weather had been better, but...oh well!  We ended our horse drawn jaunty ride at a hunters lodge...hot soup, a sandwich, crisps (aka potato chips), and a piece of chocolate... dried out a little bit...and then took off on a boat ride through the Lakes of Kilarney..in the rain.  the mist, the mist which was quite heavy at times.  It took about an hour, passing under a 300 year old stone bridge and then another 150 year old stone bridge...we ended at a castle.  We were more concerned at that point with hot chocolate!

This bridge is 300+ years old!  It's on one of the Lakes of Kilarney

Our warm, dry coach looked incredibly good ... and off we went towards Dublin.

Dublin was about a 4 hour drive...and we stopped about halfway for a bathroom break and a snack break...

Now here we are in Dublin... Dublin, Ireland!  We're hoping and praying for no rain tomorrow!

It's now the end of Day 3!
