United Kingdom Sailing Academy on July 8th

Today was a day of water sports on the Isle of Wight!

There was no rain...it was actually ideal weather...really nice!

Our delegation was divided into fourths...and two of them did raft building...and two of them did windsailing.

The raft building...each team had a certain amount of 'money' to spend to buy what they needed to build a raft...then they built it...then they took it out on the water for a race.  After their initial race, they had a little time to do some repairs or adjustments and go again...

The windsurfing ... I heard was really hard...and really fun.  The groups traveled 2 coves away to surf, so there's no pictures!  I doubt if anyone will have any...unless they had a waterproof camera.

In the evening, the delegation went into town with some of the workers from the UKSA and did laundry...and I think they ate some fish and chips.  (This was after dinner!)

The UKSA is in the town of Cowes...an adorable little cobblestoned street town.  There's not a single big named store in site, which was nice!

There are dorm-like accommodations...so the girls each had a room with 8, and the boys were in rooms of 5 or 6.

This is the end of Day 10!
