Our last orientation meeting

Here we are at our last Orientation meeting...

we have our traveling gear...

and here it is, June 20, we leave 1 week from tomorrow...

At our last meeting, we all shared our projects...

It is exciting to read and see more of what we'll experience between June 28 and July 16th...

Ireland will be first...

Don't forget your cards from Zoe... mine is on my backpack for quick access when I need to know how to say something...

 Wales is our second destination...

The Eiffel Tower has some repairs being done on the elevators, the bottom elevators.  Are you ready to do some climbing so we can get all the way to the top?   The top elevators are working normally, it's just the bottom section, the largest section that can have up to a 5 hour wait for the elevator.  No problem, let's start climbing those stairs...

We were missing a few...but here we are!

Community Service Project

April 28th was the day of our Community Service Project.  We cleaned, we raked, we picked up leaves..

The squirrels were eager to eat our food...

 We even cleaned some under the bleachers.

 The park workers came behind us to pick up the filled bags...

One of the things I love about this event, is how everyone works beside and gets to know the people they'll be traveling halfway around the world with!

 Following our service project, we broke for lunch...

then had our orientation meeting, sitting on the bleachers, enjoying the perfect weather.  Well, at least Jane and I were enjoying the perfect weather.  We had to wear sweaters by the time we got home. 

April 28...and we fly out on June 28!  Are you ready?
